The Bandon Music Festival, the festival for lovers of traditional and contemporary music, takes place from Friday 30th May to Sunday 1st June 2008.  In its twelfth year it promises to be a fantastic weekend. 

Below is an outline of what you can expect over the Festival weekend

 

Fri 30th May 2008

8pm till 10pm: Oliver Plunkett Street - Free live music with Pot Belly Folk

10pm till 1am - Free music trail in participating venues - see below.

 

Sat 31st May 2008  

11am till 1pm: Farmers Market - Free Live music with Acoustic Chicks

3pm till 5pm: Riverview Shopping Centre - Free live music with For Folks Sake and RedFMs Red Patrollers

8pm till 11pm: The Shambles - Free live music on the Gig Rig with The Blizzards supprted by the Mark Hogan Band.

10pm till 2am - Free music trail in participating venues - see below.

 

Sun 1st June 2008

3pm till 5pm: Oliver Plunkett Street – Free live music with Rubicon, joined by set dancers

8pm till 11pm: The Shambles - Free live music on the Gig Rig with Republic of Loose and Delorentos.

10pm till 2am - Free music trail in participating venues - see below.

As well as free outdoor concerts, the Music Trail will take place each night of the festival in the participating venues and will combine a mixture of trad and rock music sessions.
