We are delighted to invite you to the Bandon Music Festival, the festival for lovers of traditional and contemporary music, which takes place from Friday 30th May to Sunday 1st June, 2008.  In its twelfth year this year is shaping up to be another fantastic weekend. 

Annually hosted on the June Bank Holiday weekend in Bandon, West Cork, this year’s festival is shaping up to be the most musically creative so far.  Now considered one of Ireland's premier summer music festivals, it will serve to encourage the promotion of Irish talent, both new and internationally established. 

Sponsored by Coolfadda Developers, Bandon Vintners, RedFM, Evening Echo and Failte Ireland  the Bandon Music Festival features the very best of traditional and contemporary Irish music - and its all presented free of charge!

This year will see Meteor award winners The Blizzards live outdoors on Saturday.  They will be supported by The Mark Hogan Band . Then on Sun 1st of June Republic of Loose will share the stage with Delorentos. As well as outdoor concerts, the Music Trail will take place each night of the festival in the participating venues and will combine a mixture of trad music sessions and trad/rock. Throughout the festival, there will be a superb line-up of artists both at the outdoor venues and on the Music Trail - so why not come and join us for the weekend!
